Snacks and the City

This one might be a little extreme for most, but hang in there for me....

Something that I have always been fond of is a "Dinner Tour." This is where you go around the city and have drinks, appetizers, the main entree and dessert all at different restaurants. It can be a great way to sample the city. To avoid drinking and driving choose restaurants that are walking distance apart, or try this when you are visiting another city and can cab around. It is a great way to try new restaurants and experience different atmospheres all in one evening.

I will note that this is not a very cost effective approach. I recognize that you have to tip at each restaurant, but keep in mind that this isn't something you would do all the time--just a fun way to make your night a little more interesting.

If financially this just doesn't make sense, then try to do an at home version. Have friends volunteer to make different items and then travel around to each place for the next course. It is just as fun and more budget friendly!

  1. I think this would be a wonderful idea for a bridal shower. It would also be a great birthday present for the person that has everything.
